After the murder of Meir Yitzhak Tamari, HY"D, we established the Or Meir hilltop in his memory — to prevent a Palestinian Authority takeover and to create Jewish settlement continuity
What haven't we been through? Demolition campaigns, police raids, violent attacks from the surrounding villages, a harsh winter, and of course an intense struggle over the grazing lands.
Despite it all, we're still here — and even with a list of achievements:
6,000 dunams in the heart of the Binyamin region that the hilltop overlooks every day; hundreds of dunams of farmland in a strategic location that were worked last year by Arabs and today, thank God, are cultivated by the hilltop's residents; a core group of youth and a family; and a steadfast hilltop that guards Route 60 against rock-attack terror.
